Cudjoe (Kodjo) is an Akan (Fanti, Asante etc) name meaning Monday's leader (male). I traveled to Africatown Alabama just to show respect to Baba Cudjoe. There ia much to be learned from his history and the writings on the grave stone in Old Plateau Cemetery. There should be excursions to the resting place of the last "official" group of enslaved Africans brought to the U.S. in 1859.
