Hello, I am from Senegal and have lived in the states for 11 years now.
There are many african-american that bear specific traits ( distinctive features ) from West African ethnic groups. I have observed that myself: from Wolof ( which I am ) to Bambara, Malinke, Peuhl, Serere, Toucouleur, Diola, Mankagne, Touareg, Haoussa...the list goes on.
If any of you get a chance, fly to Dakar Senegal or any other city in West Africa you will truly enjoy the trip. People are really friendly and you will enjoy the food and the beaches too.
