I am african american with carribean roots(maternal) I have always been curious about where in africa we originated, I remember asking my mom as a child and she said she thought somewhere in gold coastg and she mentioned guinea. She said she wasnt sure, but said it most likely was not east sfrica which is where some of jamaicans look towards for cultural identity.
