For many adoptive parents, the question will arise, "When do I tell?" This question will come up as you go through an adoption and as the years go by.
Is there a specific time or age that you decide to tell your child/children that they are adopted? Years ago, adoption was such a secret and it was mostly kept, "hush - hush." The children may not find out until a parent dies or they see their actual birth certificate or adoption decree papers. Today, adoption is more openly expressed.
Some children are adopted at birth and some are adopted at different ages. So, is there a specific age or time to tell them they are adopted? If you are an adoptive parent, can you share with us when and how you told your child/children that they were adopted?
