November is National Adoption Month. This is a month set aside to raise awareness about adoption of children and youth from foster care.

As an adoptive parent I join others as they honor this month set aside to be thankful for my blessing. To those adoptees, congrats on finding your birthparents. To those who are considering adoption, there is nothing like becoming a parent and don't let the stigmas of what others say shy you or rob you from being the parent of a waiting child.
