Dead end in search

Every now and then I do a Facebook search for old friends and family. A couple of weeks ago, for some reason I can't remember, I searched on the names of my son's foster family and birth sibling. Amazingly, one search returned a page with the same name as my son's brother in the right state and with the name of the adoption agency as one of his networks! The photo that I could see (which was in profile) even looked a little like my son.

I contacted the young man through Facebook and simply asked what was his mother's name. No answer. Wrote again and asked whether he was adopted. Received a curt answer to the second query, "Sorry. I'm not adopted." That was it.

Wrote back again and this time explained that I was an adoptive mother searching for my son's birth brother and that the combination of his name, location, and adoption agency was just too intriguing to not follow up. Told him the community that my son's birth mother lived in and the year he was adopted. Asked him whether he had an older brother who was adopted and asked him to please respond one way or another.

That was over a week ago and haven't heard back from him. Should I just let it go or write again?

And what do you think about someone including an adoption agency in their networks. Either they work there, are adopted themselves or are searching for someone who is. Right? Or am I totally off-base?
