Adopted teen from Leoni Township and biological mom from Ohio meet for the first time

Way, 16, receives a hug from his biological mother, Patricia McCutcheon of Columbus, Ohio, after the two met for the first time Monday afternoon at Jon's home in Leoni Township. McCutcheon gave Jon up for adoption when he was born, and he was adopted by Daniel and Theresa Way when he was 7 months old.

An hour or so before meeting his biological mother, Jon Way, 16, seemed impossibly calm and collected. "I'm just excited," the Michigan Center High School junior said Monday as he chatted with friends on his laptop.
