In some states, original birth certificates are amended to reflect information associated with the adoptive parents. Such things are changed as: actual birth dates (some by a couple of years), county of birth, no place of birth (example: hospital), no city of birth (only a county). The birth certificates reflects the adoptive parents as the birthparents.
