Does anyone have information pertaining to Ighner's (Igner) originally from Newberry, South Carolina and later moving on to Navasota, Texas? The 1880 census of S. C. listed John Ighner and Nancy Ighner along with Carrie, Sophina, Lusa, Clara,Ella, John, Dase, and Joshua. All of the girls listed were mulatto.
