I am trying to find my GGrandfather's family. His name wasHilleary/Hillary Hawkins. I have be unable to locate Hillary before the 1900 census. It was believed that he may have been a run-away slave. It was also rumored that he had a least one brother, William, who lived in the Southern Maryland area. We haven't found any family members thusfar. If you have any information that may help, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
