I have three Shackelfords in Southeast West Virginia -
(1) James Shackelford - Father of Eliza who married Pleasant Alen in Monroe County, WV. on 12/2/1867.
(2) Matilda Shackelford - the wife of James &
(3) Eliza Shackelford - the daughter of James & Malinda & the wife of Pleasant Allen.

The marriage information indicates that Eliza was from ?Rockbridge, Va. She appears in the 1870 Monroe County Census at 30 years old with her husband, Pleasant Allen.
She appears on the 1880 Greenbrier County Census at 40 years old with her husband Pleasant.
She appears on the 1910 census at Greenbrier County, she is widowed, has had 8 children, 6 still living, with Mary Shackelford (20)

Since her parents do not show up on any census I assume they remained in Rockbridge, Va.
