To my knowledge, the KEMP families in Montgomery County, Missouri are neither Cherokee nor Creek. I have several boxes of records on my KEMP line, and there is no evidence to support Native American lineage. My KEMP line was in Callaway and surrounding counties in Missouri circa 1830.

We had our 25th annual reunion in Montgomery County last August. There's also a KEMP reunion in Wellsville, but I've never been to that one, and I don't think they have the amount research that we have.
