I have Mitchel(l) My Great Grandfather was Charlie Mitchell out of Terrell County GA. Census all say he was born in GA but I found one where my Gradfather Fred (Fed) Mitchell stated that his father was born in Mariland (Maryland!)

What actually prompted me to respond to Kimberly, was the McCree name. The town of Acree which is right next to where they lived was named for a family by the name MacRee...they shorted it to Acree, and thus the town name was named.
