Adicia, you may want to also check the surnames Primus/ Orr/ Bing, and probably others I can't think of right at this minute in the Beaufort and Yemassee areas of South Carolina as well. I've seen the Cohen name many times while going through various census pages in those areas.

On the 1850 or 1860 I apologize for my notes not being better...St Peters Parish South Carolina there is a Sheldon Cohen 38 M Mu Farmer listed with his family...I can't promise it will be this week, but I will try to gather more information if you wish.
