I am glad you wrote what you did - I too have "no problemo" doin' lookups, and helpin out - it's exciting to share the joy of folks findin their roots. And I believe firmly in givin' back what has been given freely to me. But my momma raised me with manners - to quote her, "Those 2 little words 'thank you' will carry you a long way in life".

I don't thnik that any of us here - or on any of the other boards where we get help - should be taken for granted. It is downright rude - and one of the reasons that some folks ultimately stop helping.

I know most folks who do post here acknowledge the help they receive, and many also help back - or offer words of support. But one bad apple can spoil a bunch, and one ungrateful seeker can be extremely annoying to those who expend the same care and effort lookin for their folks as for ones own.
