Hi,
I just visited relatives in Washington, DC. We were going over some family history and we talked about what my father had said for years. He stated that my Great Grandfather, Marshall Moore, father of Henry Moore (my grandfather) was one of the people instrumental in moving Lincoln Normal to Montgomery.
I spent my summers (early 1960s) at 754 S. Jackson right by the Alabama State campus. The Cole family (Nat King) lived right across the alley and Dr. King lived three blocks down. My aunt sold the house to the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity it is now a state landmark.
I want to know do you have any more history to add to this? My family consists of the Campbells, Moores, Wests and Williams. My great aunt owned the house at 713 S. Jackson. It was torn down some years back.
