My GGGrandmother's birth name was FANTROY, but I have been told that the name FLOURNOY is the same family name but spelled differently. I appreciate any information concerning these families.

Has anyone out there heard of the surname GRIFFEA? I'm finding interesting but scant information about this surname. I'm trying to find the origin of the name. My GRIFFEAs came from TN in the 1800s, but the name popped up in London in the 1891 Census!!
