Wow, thanks for responding. This is the first Joines response I have received since posting the surname. I did that post in 2002. I have gather more information since then and have actually made a connection with some of the families.

The names that you mentioned are not familiar with me, but "Joines" is an unusal name and there could be a connection. Where is Greer, SC located?

Does your Joines have connections to Chesterfield and Darlington area? Also, do you know what year the father, Frank Joines was born?

The farthest that I could go back with the Joines/Joynes family was 1870 with Solomon Joines and Jennette Joines who are my great-great-great grandparents. I will have to go back to see if there is a NC connection. I know that some of the family currently lives in Fayetteville, NC.
