I don't know if you're still out there looking, but I recently discovered that one of my great-grandfather's sisters married a McMichael in the Orangeburg/St. Matthews, SC area. Her first name was Sylvira (not sure on the spelling) and her maiden name was Murph. I know she was in the area in the mid 1920s. She was married before to a Butler and had a child with him. I don't know anything about her McMichael family. If you're still out there, please write back.
