Wilson/Hamilton Surnames

My GG Uncle Caleb Davison, slave of William Bryce/Brice and Benjamin Brice, of Frostburg, MD and later Marion County, VA, married Phoebe Wilson, former slave and daughter of Nancy Hamilton and Jerry Wilson of Piedmont, MD (now Piedmont, WV). There is a Phoebe Wilson listed with reference to a manumission written by a Mary Hammil of Maryland and this Phoebe's manumission and story is so very close to the manumission told of with reference to my Caleb and his Phoebe, that they strongly appear to be the same. By this posting, I am in search of African Americans with roots in the Frostburg MD and Piedmont MD/WV area who would have the surnames Wilson, Hamilton, and/or Davison. My Davisons would have been taken as far south as Harrison County, VA (Clarksburg) and then migrated north thru Marion County (Fairmont) and Monongalia County (Morgantown) and from there into Pennsylvania at the Blacksville, PA area in or around 1855. Blacksville is in both states with the Mason-Dixon line (state boundry) dividing Blacksville with the majority of it being in West Virginia and a smaller portion in Pennsylvania. My Davisons received their manumission in 1852 and the document is recorded in the Marion County, WV Court House (Fairmont WV). If your family history is linked with any of the listed surnames in the listed areas.....we could be cousins! Or if your family travelled north on the Underground Railroad into Westmoreland, Fayette, Washington, or Greene Counties, Pennsylvania, send a message and we can see if there is a local link. Recently, I spoke with a man, apparently white, who told me of his family's involvement with the Underground Railroad in Preston County, VA(WV), which borders on the north, Fayette County, PA.,and that their involvement caused them to be "burnt out" and forced to move north into Greene County, PA. The family name is Debolt. Hope to hear from a "cousin" soon.
