I enjoyed reading your post about pecans. Your remembrances about them are almost "Proustian". Perhaps you can expand and post your words on Writers Forum.

Your post reminded me of my great grandmother, Sarah. Every year at Christmas we would receive a huge box from Florida. Oranges, all kinds of jellies...guava jelly (ugh I hated it) and two big boxes of pecans from the trees in her yard...one filled with shelled pecans, one whole.
