Not sure if this will help you out or not. I have two images from the 1870 census for Morgan County that bears the surname Evans.

There is a Mary Evans listed as head of household, aged 22, doing farm labor. There is a male 8 year old with her but the name is not legible on the copy that I have. On the other image there is a Caesar Evans aged 62 with Farm Labor as the occupation. Also in the household is Sarah aged 45, George age 18, Josie (guessing at the spelling) female age 15 Vina (guessing at the spelling) female age 13, and Richard age 9.
