My grandmother, Maude Maureen Anderson, was born in 1901 in Stockton, GA. John Mack was born in Charleston, SC in 1900 or 1890. Maude's parents were Mylee and Steven Anderson. I don't know anything about Steven Anderson. Mylee was a slave girl who had lash marks on her back. We do not have a last name for her prior to her marriage. Maude and John Mack resided in Homersville, GA at the time of my mother, Mary Adler Mack's, birth, and according to her birth certificate, she was the only child born to that union.
