Just another weird/spiritual ancestor visitation story. As I researched my mother's family in Louisiana, I started getting cravings for food I don't normally eat. I found myself buying bacon (I don't usually eat pork), grits, eggs, and anything with pecans in it! As I did my research, I found out my ggmom (Lueana Jones-Jury b 25Jan1897 d 3May1968) was a short order cook in the 1940s and 1950s. But the topper was when I spoke to my mother today. She told me my ggmom had pecan trees on her property and would regularly send boxes of them "up-North" to my gmom and other family members who moved to PA during the "Great Migration". I felt good that I was finally getting close to finding information on my ggmom. So close in fact, that she is reaching out to me John Edwards style. If any one has similar experiences please holler back.
