Things that make you go "hmmmm..." Tell me something...where can I look at a census on line? I am not going to pay a membership into Ancestry before knowing whether or not it will be worth it...everything that I have received, I have gotten it by actually going to the courthouse and searching records myself...My mother is so not knowledgeable when it comes to her heritage it is not funny! I am not sure if I am able to piece together anything else past what I have, birth records in NC are not kept prior to 1913...and I haven't a clue as to where some of these persons died...I know about a 6 or 7 city area is possible...I have a research project going on at NC Archives...someone there is looking up all the info that I have....Let me know if you can help...by the way...would that Archie have been born in NC? I cannot locate a birth record or death record on him...and would love to know what his mother's name was...as it stands...he would be my ggrandfather. Thanks a bunch!
