I believe these to be the parents of a Henry EVANS , born Dec 10, 1880, who married Ethel Stringfellow in St francis Co, Arkansas.

Could someone please check the 1870 Census, (there were 2 or 3 black EVANS head of household in the index---we don't have the microfilms)to see if Silas is there as a youth.

Could someone please check the 1900 Census to see if the family was still there at that time.
