I am a Evans researcher as my surname is Evans; this Evans come out of South Carolina that is to my knowledge. In the 1880 census of Abbeville S.C. shows my great grandfather William Evans, a painter, his children, among them my grandfather Joe Evans born about 1860; he married Mary Vance of Abbeville; and they had three children, one John Evans my father. This same Joe Evans married three times. Possibilities: my Evans may still be related to your Evans family members.
