Thanks for the reply.I am not sure if either of these is my Henry. The only information I have found is on a 1900 Soundex and 1900 Census in Tuscaloosa County.

Henry Dodson was born June 1844 and was 55 years old at this time.

He had a spouse, Annie, Daughters: Nanee(Nannie), Marandy, and Susan.

There is another Henry Dotson on this same Soundex roll, from Wilcox County, but he is only 35.

Please letl me know if you come across any information or if you have suggestions on where I can look next.
