Rebecca's deathe certificate is in Reid. We are not sure if she remarried or if Alec changed his name.
I have a copy of my grand-aunts ss5 and on it he is listed as John Alec Gibbs. On my
grandfather's death certificate,he is listed as Alec Gibbs,
on Rebecca's death certificate, she is listed as he widow of Alec Reid.

It's very confusing and I don't know if I can get a birth certificate for Melvin. Do you knowif NC records go back tha far?

I was doing all of the research in SC, because I thought , the state was a typo.
I'll try to see if I can get that birth certificate. Thanks a lot Chuck Nadine
