Re: Columbus Ohio PostWar Blacks

My Uncle (whom we did not know)was James Shaw, prob. lived in Reynoldsburg until '56, East Side of C'bus 56-77.
First wife was a cook, Pinky Shaw of N.C. I don't know who he re-married when she died in '57 (I found obit Littleton NC).
James' landlady on 1413 East 16th Ave. was Luella Derr. She arranged his funeral. Pastor was Parham.
In 1962 he drove for Peck's One Hour Cleaners on 18th Ave. Owners, according to 1964 city directory, were Lavern & Ruth McRae.

Egg farm where James was a driver until 1956 became Walnut Hill Country Club in Reynoldsburg.

Thank you,

Bijan
