This weekend will be my husbands 23rd family reunion, I am hosting it here in chicago, gathering family data has led us to a lost wife and a son, maybe another. His family is from Holly Springs, Ms the family last names are Scruggs, Fitts, Falkner,Muse, Barksdale. We knew his gggrandfather John Scruggs was born in Africa in 1825 he married a Fannie Dean their children names were Mattie, twins John Jr. and Rufus, now we have discovered another son Edward that we believe mothers name may have been Mary E. Jimison. Edward married a Laura Barksdale. Now we are looking to find a connection to a Clinton Scruggs who also was in Holly springs, born around the 1880's. This weekend our reunion will be held in downtown chicago and we hope to have added info. thanks everyone for the support
