I just had thought,suppose the James Barnes age 35 who would have born in 1835, would have been born in slavery and could have been married and had children. Then in 1862 when his wife was pregnant with Park/Paul Barnes, he was sold to another plantation owner. Then in 1870 when the census was taken he was listed as single living alone. So Paul/Parks Barns would be living with his mother in 1870 at the age of 7. What do you think.
