Thank you for your effort for giving me all that information. The listing of James Barnes 35 MB in Lafourche Parish I was wondering if he could be the father of Paul/Park Barnes. He was living alone but could have father children. I found a James Barnes that was with 7th Regiment Lousiana Infantry ( Colored) in the Civil War Soldier and Sailor System, and I was wondering if that was the same James Barnes.
I will check with my library to see if they have any of the books from that link, if not I will order some of them.
