Are your Gibbs from SC?

In my notes, I noticed very recently that my grandmother Willa Leonard HANCOCK's mother's maiden name was Fanny Gibbs - from SC.

As far as I can tell, so far, my Hancocks pretty much stayed in the Aiken and Barnwell counties - from about 1870 to 1920.

BRAYBOY is a collateral name that pops up; and they are from the Native American Lumbee tribe.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but it raises some for me :)
