For those interested in this topic, there is a wonderful book called, "The Sweeter the Juice," by Shirley Taylor Haizlip. It recounts her discovery of the "mass exodus" of the majority of her mother's family from the Black race, and their "infiltration" of the White one. It's a great read, but be warned: It's very difficult to put down.
