An interesting piece of information. David E. Bristol was a Union Soldier in the 114th regiment out of New York. He also had an alias of Daniel Bristol. There is some pension information available. It was filed in 1881 by Lorianna Bristol.

Unfortunately, the 1840 census does not enumerate every individual. Only the head of household appears on the census.

You may be able to get a death certificate for one of them. That might help.
