I would call the African Meeting House in I believe it is call the Back Bay section of Boston or Beacon Hill. My understanding was that the orginal Black section of Boston was built around the meeting house which is very close to the water front and the state capital. It then moved to the South End and then expanded to Roxbury, Mattapan and Dorchester. Most people I know who grew up in the 40 & 50's talk about the South End,
