Well, actually, there is quite a lot more to the story. Three black men were accused of the 1912 rape -- one was lynched, the other two tried and executed within a month of the crime. And, as a matter of fact, it was a lot like Rosewood. Hundreds of blacks, many of them property owners, were driven out of Forsyth and Dawson counties in 1912.
