Interesting question! I'm not actually sure which wife Mrs. Napier was friends with, as I understand it Dr. Washington was married 3 times. Olivia sounds probable. I was thinking that it was Margaret Murray Washington. She could have known them from being in Nashville, TN. The Napiers were a popular and well respected couple in the city. I don't know where M.M. Washington was from, but I do know that she lived in Nashville for a few years. She was W.E.B Dubois's classmate at Fisk University along with Lena Horne's Grandmother.
