I am in the process of doing the same of you. I think your GGGrandmother was named Lucy and GGGfather's mother was Anna. Seems like your family named their children for the most part of names they liked instead of family names. Lucy Anna was definite from 2 family members I believe. What about their children children, do any of the names repeat. I understand Sally is another name for Sarah so she could have been name Sarah.
One GGGrandmother was Mary Nelson. Children were RoseAnna, Alfred, Sally, Robert, Johnny (all can remember now) Always believed RoseAnna was named for someone. Recently found from Death Certificate Mary's mother was Anne Hester.Can I assume she was really RoseAnn(a). Rose did not repeat as I've found but Anne has to Grandmother Mary Ann and other Sally Ann. Mary N. father was Bob Nelson, Can I also assume his name was Robert?
