A fellow researcher told me that he had the Pike County general index to delayed birth certificate book A filed july 15, 1946 for Robert Nelson - parents Jim Nelson and Mary Jane Mims.

My great great grandfather James Nelson married a Mary Jane (?). He had a son named Robert Nelson. Trying to find out if Mary Jane maiden name was Mims. There were some Mims in the 1870 and 1880 census for Pike County, GA. They were living next door to the Nelson in 1870 and 1880.
