It is so strange, as I search for Will, Nancy, and Shep, I keep comming across this Rose Witherspoon that you have found. I am wondering if this is the family. Even though Shep is not in the household, maybe he was not borne yet, or may be he is older. I have this funny feeling that this Rose Witherspoon may be my great grandfather's mother, but I have to have proof, and I do not have it since Shep is not in the household. I am sure he had more sisters and brothers, but since all the Older ones are deceased, there is no one else left that may have known the answer. No one in my family no anything about Shep except he was my great grandfather's brother. Since they remembered him, tells me that he may have been Will Witherspoon's younger brother. My mother remembers him and she is in her 70's. She remembers calling him Uncle Shep, but she does not no anything about him except he was my great grandfather's brother.
