3rdthawkins: I have to locate him him daviss, he was in Richmond, VA on his draft card I checked the National Cemetery lists on U.S Department of Veterans Affairs
Seventies Soulchild: I know ancestry does have WWII and WWI records online for those who enlisted.
3rdthawkins: I haven't found the WWI enlistment, only the draft cards
Seventies Soulchild: It gives their HOR & where they were stationed for Basic Training HOR = Home of Record

Seventies Soulchild: The two books added to the collection here at west point: "Whence They Came: The Families of United States Colored Troops in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 1815-1995" and "United States Colored Troops Civil War Digest" So if anyone is looking for USCT folks, this seems like a good resource.
