Daviss: did you get a response back from him alt

alt: not yet Daviss

Daviss: Whats going on HistoryBuff?

Selma: What was his hypothesis

Selma: Good for those kids...

Daviss: I said they took me selma lol lol

vkn: you got took lol

HistoryBuff: Lol

Selma: What is he saying alt

vkn: how ridiculous alt

Daviss: I think somehow my pocketbook was a little lighter when we left

Selma: I wonder how that happened Daviss... LOL

alt: here is his response " The point was concerning the moral consciousness of a people/area of the country. I realize that the "south" is the only area of the country that carries with it an identifying song "Dixie". This was written by Danial Emmett (from Ohio) and is used to attempt to marginalize southerners, and negate all contributions before and after a four year period in the mid 1800's. To even bring up slavery after 150 years really serves no positive end other than attempting to open a wound that should have healed years ago. A people should stand on their own merits and not seek excuses for any perceived shortcomings. The New York draft riots of 1863 would tend to indicate that not all northerners were of the same mindset. The killing of 50,000 southern civilians during the war wasn't a very moral act either.

Daviss: oh listen to him....

alt: he's on another tangent ... do I have something for him LOL LOL

Daviss: hahahahaha alt

vkn: moral in a sentence usually kills the other words i say

HistoryBuff: :)

vkn: How many years is it that we discuss the crucifixion etc put him on ignore I say Alt

alt: using that paralell (sp) would make too much sense vkn.

vkn: wb deannie

Daviss: might get him to learn something vkn lol wb deannie mabe get him to scurry and look through some history books lol lol

Selma: I don't see where his first comment was?

vkn: HistoryBuff what is wearing your energy down if I may askand what is the solution

alt: you have to go to B/J. page and read the whole thread Selma to get the gist of the conversation.

Selma: OK

Daviss: take care of yourself Historybuff

alt: the guy is strong in his beliefs Selma and you can't kick him for his convictions .. I only argue with his conclusions.

HistoryBuff: Thnx Daviss & Vkn.

Selma: Congress is counting the electoral votes..

alt: I hope Pres Obama is re-elected LOL LOL

HistoryBuff: Lol!

vkn: not funny lol

alt: I know vkn, sorry bout that

vkn: lol

Selma: Well folks..think it is nap time
