alt: not much.... B'ham & Adams ... not that I know of... got something for me?

Daviss: I ran across a Oscar Adams picture and saw that he was in B'ham but also saw he was a pastor in the AME Church and thought of you I tried going back to save and send but had trouble last night and did not get to do it...

alt: Wow!!! My grandfather's brother was an Oscar Adams... and he was an AME, but he died in the the mid 1920's.

Daviss: this picture may have been in the 20's. I was searching for some articles on Emancipation

alt: careful now... you might be uncovering some Adams folks I don't know about LOL

Seventies Soulchild: yes alt. It took so much time to find the story online.. name changes with her. She had 3 husbands. Plus I didn't know the accident happened in Ohio

alt: Not too many AA's living in that area Seventies Soulchild, was she a resident of Van Wert?

Seventies Soulchild: No she lived in Taylor, MI and was driving along 127

Seventies Soulchild: ok The funeral arrangements are still not made. Her children are just devastated.

Seventies Soulchild: This line is my father's family. His eldest sister Julia left Alabama and moved to Detroit, MI.

Seventies Soulchild: They are descendants of the Tyus family, the same line of the man Lewis Tyus who was the executor of the estate of Baxter Smith who freed our ancestors Charity and Harriet

Seventies Soulchild: Looking for the Gary family. Mary Gary, Ruth Gary and some of the boys. Mary died in St. Louis, MO Sister Ruth and Mom Carried died in Northern AL. Buried at Tuskegee. I don't know why.. sisters were both born and raised in Adams Co., MS

alt: I don't know the 'geography' of the major cities to do any good with them Seventies Soulchild when searching by ED's.

Selma: Oh I thought you were indexing the city..and was having problems

Selma: You don't know why they were buried in places other than adams Co. MS

Seventies Soulchild: I do know that sister Margaret attended Tuskegee. I think maybe Carrie may have also. These people moved so much.

Selma: They moved alot more than folks is interesting, somehow we see ourselves as more mobile

Selma: My grandson plays clarinet..he wanted to play drums..but position was filled

Selma: No.. This is my first time going to that track

bbenn: OK, I am thinking about submitting my brick wall challenge. I still need to find a place to stay.

Selma: I told Angela I am still deciding if I am going to Samford or SLC..I can't do both..have big family reunion in Florida this summer

bbenn: Well, that's difficult decision. I have my plane ticket for Samford and will go as planned. I was also invited to carry the flag for the Homestead Parade in Nebraska. It will cost me $200 just to change my ticket. The parade is on the 16th at 9 am . I am not going to the parade.

Selma: Oh.. But I do understand..

bbenn: Cannot afford to lose $200 to rebook a ticket that will cost over $600.

Selma: There are 2 other conferences in Oct 2012..AAHGS In Nc and VGS in Lynchburg VA Plus it is so close to Christmas..

bbenn: Too many moneylol lol lol

Selma: I know, I know.. LOL I will decide by the end of this week.

bbenn: it's time to start offering webinars...

Selma: Thats a thought..well I gotta run, got a meeting at 3 this afternoon
