Daviss: I ran across a Oscar Adams picture and saw that he was in B'ham but also saw he was a pastor in the AME Church and thought of you I tried going back to save and send but had trouble last night and did not get to do it...
alt: Wow!!! My grandfather's brother was an Oscar Adams... and he was an AME, but he died in the the mid 1920's.
Daviss: this picture may have been in the 20's. I was searching for some articles on Emancipation

Seventies Soulchild: This line is my father's family. His eldest sister Julia left Alabama and moved to Detroit, MI.

Seventies Soulchild: Looking for the Gary family. Mary Gary, Ruth Gary and some of the boys. Mary died in St. Louis, MO Sister Ruth and Mom Carried died in Northern AL. Buried at Tuskegee. I don't know why.. sisters were both born and raised in Adams Co., MS

Selma: I told Angela I am still deciding if I am going to Samford or SLC..I can't do both..have big family reunion in Florida this summer
bbenn: Well, that's difficult decision. I have my plane ticket for Samford and will go as planned. I was also invited to carry the flag for the Homestead Parade in Nebraska. It will cost me $200 just to change my ticket. The parade is on the 16th at 9 am . I am not going to the parade.
Selma: Oh.. But I do understand..
bbenn: Cannot afford to lose $200 to rebook a ticket that will cost over $600.
Selma: There are 2 other conferences in Oct 2012..AAHGS In Nc and VGS in Lynchburg VA Plus it is so close to Christmas..
bbenn: Too many conferences...mo moneylol lol lol
Selma: I know, I know.. LOL I will decide by the end of this week.
