AYWalton: I don't take flu shots---don't want to get the flu. lol

AYWalton: so many folks get sick when they get the shot.

Seventies Soulchild: Yes we have people coughing and sneezing all up in my office work space. uh uh... stay home. lol

Khathu: I think my gg grandmother and her sister were either the children from his first marriage or from an outside relationship

jhonora: AY, I have been reading about the Mosaic Templars since I saw your session title, very interesting.

Khathu: according to oral history, they were raised by a white family. unfortunately the name of the white family was not passed down

Seventies Soulchild: okay that sounds very interesting

Selma: So have you gotten all your rest AY

AYWalton: sort of. Still tired, but I got some sleep last night. slept late for 2 days in a row. lol Jhonora the Mosaic templars are everywhere.

Seventies Soulchild: I hear you AYWalton... I was there last week.

AYWalton: and the other groups---some are quite amazing. Like the Royal Circle of Friends.

jhonora: I really enjoy our negro societies, just wish they left more minutes, etc.

Selma: I love the names

AYWalton: I don't try to get the records----many don't exist---but there are other ways to get the fascinating histories.

jhonora: Yes, the charters and newspaper mentions yield a lot of info

AYWalton: and several of the groups have fascinating histories which can be found online. Oh don't forget the webinar for ProfessorDru. that is tomorrow at 2pm if you have time.

deannie: yes...there are so many websites that I must check out...I'm still new to genealogy...so everytime I go to a conference I come home with new eyes..

vknGA: Went to a book signing "The Accidental Slaveowner" by Mark Auslander about a slave owning bishop and the role of the Methodist church and Emory University in fostering slavery

deannie: Also, new and old friends

Daviss: oh that sounds like a good book

deannie: I was kick out...I'm on my niece's computer

deannie: yes.....I wish I would have been able to attend other session but they were at the same time

vknGA: Also the bishop had Kate as a sometime bed mate and the author and his students uncovered present day descends!
