Seventies Soulchild: The snow here was close to a foot if not more.

3rdthawkins: ok alt, yeah, I think I made a connection with something I was diagnosed with and being legally blind and also my dad and aunt and uncles' (night)blindness, to my grandmother being abused in her childhood. She and her sisters were almost starved to death, and because of Malnutrition and Vitamin A deficiency, that's where the blindness may have come from

Ingrid_Doweary: I had to deliver a shovel to our family car down the street just to clear the windows and car trunk.

3rdthawkins: Aarskog-Scott Syndrome it is called I was diagnosed with, and it was described just 10 years before I was born by the Norwegian geneticist and nine 9 years by the American one

daviss: Is that what your doctor diagnosed you with 3rd?

Ingrid_Doweary: Are you saying as a result you are legally blind in at least one eye, 3rd?

3rdthawkins: it was suppose to be from the Female to the Males, so would mean I got it from my mother, but I am having my doubts, perhaps the Grandmother on my dad's side, it was described as the sons get it from their mother,

3rdthawkins: I see a lot of that in my own family on my mother's side daviss there in AZ, a lot of my cousins are using mother's maiden name when parents are not married, now you got me thinking,............but not sure if that is still giong on perhaps it is their choice
