seventies soulchild: It means I will have to do more research. . . it was like a partial pension file. a couple of witness statements. some vital info, but still left with questions.

seventies soulchild: Two more surnames I will be looking up are galaway and wade. I want to see if I can order the Widows bounty for Phoebe Galmore.
AYWalton: Soulchile pay close attention to the witnesses and if any of the say that they served with your soldier, you may want to follow them as you can learn more about the community. if they enlisted togegther, then you can reconstruct the community.
seventies soulchild: I see a couple of people that I plan on researching Wellington Scott and an Ellison forgot the first name. AYWalton, normally when you order pension files do you get the entire file OR do you have to order seperate files?

Ingrid_Doweary: I need them for this year's Black History Month Exhibit at work. I found them neatly wrapped up in my under the stairs storage space. They are now in my room being assessed and prepped.

Ingrid_Doweary: About (3) 12" Male dolls. I collected them about 15 years ago from Kaybee Toys and the National Air and Space Museum.
Selma: Seventies...what information did you Not find in the Pension file?
AYWalton: that is so interesting!
Ingrid_Doweary: Yes AY. I found that I had also collected a Tuskegee Airmen and two Mercury Astronaut dolls as well from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in DC.
AYWalton: oh you have a nice collection growing then.
Ingrid_Doweary: Now I can put them to good use. So Seventies, did you learn anything from your pension file?

vkn: That program was troublesome from the outset in my view.
AYWalton: they did not say. I got the email earlier today and they said that they are focusing on other endeavors. I think that since they bought ProGen, they might offer a service through that avenue.

Ingrid_Doweary: I did locate marriage record for my father's paternal aunt.
Sadonya: how nice did you find new info from it?
Ingrid_Doweary: Her maiden name was Armstrong and she married a man named Issac Linton. The Linton descendants are my father's 1st cousins and my 2nd cousins.
Sadonya: okay how nice
Ingrid_Doweary: It cross referenced a formal marriage license that one of the descendants posted on a MyFamily website. My father was recently deemed the family historian according to one of them.
Sadonya: thats interesting
Ingrid_Doweary: Of the 13 offspring, there are 3 survivors. I've been communicating and interviewing the eldest one, Cousin Helen.
Sadonya: how nice to sill have one to intereview .. does she share a lot
Ingrid_Doweary: She does and I feel obligated now to interview the other two-her brothers.
Sadonya: men never seem to have as much to say funny
Ingrid_Doweary: I just sent the youngest brother (upon his request) who is the baby of the family copies of about 10 different family documents I located over period of 3 years.
Sadonya: have you heard from him about them?
Ingrid_Doweary: I haven't but I'll follow up this weekend. I sent them in time for a family reunion planning meeting they were scheduled to have last weekend. I'll send my father copies of what I sent the cousin.
