Selma: There was another person who emancipated a large number of slaves that went to Ohio..his name was GIST I believe

AYWalton: Yes, I have often read about the manumission, but a large book about the effects of freedom, and relocation upon their lives would be indeed interesting to read.

Selma: There is a book on the Gist emancipation..at my library...

alt: and many of the King Carter slaves settled in Ohio.

3rdthawkins: I never really watched it, unless my mother wanted me to record it, but that's over so I dont' watch it I really hate the audition, because it seems they just want to show the bad singers, I think they should have made it professional and actually show the ones who could sing, but I guess that wouldn't make for good TV
