Printing Out Forms The 1860 Slave Schedule prints out very nicely on 8 1/2 X 14 inch legal size paper. The 1860 Mortality Schedule can be printed out on legal size but also fits onto a letter size 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet. The following are instructions for the two major browsers.
Using Netscape Navigator:
1. Go to the 1860 Slave Schedule template. Save to disk.
2. Open the saved file in browser window.
3. Go to File dialogue and select Page Setup.
4. Minimize all margins and de-select header and footer options. Save.
5. Select Print Setup under File dialogue.
6. Under Properties select legal size paper and portrait orientation. Save.
7. Under Graphics tab, select the resolution, dithering and intensity that gives best results.
8. If necessary for your printer, select Black & White only under Color option.
9. Save options and print.Repeat steps 1 - 9 to download and print the 1860 Mortality Schedule but substitute letter size paper in step #6.
Using Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the 1860 Slave Schedule template. Save to disk.
2. Open the saved file in browser window.
3. Go to File dialogue and select Page Setup.
4. Choose Legal 8 1/2 x 14 Paper Size and Portrait Orientation.
5. Minimize all margins.
6. Under Printer Properties, select Graphics options that give best result.
7. Save options and print.Repeat steps 1 - 7 to download and print the 1860 Mortality Schedule but substitute letter size paper where necessary.
